Refelecting upon McLuhan.

Identity

More seductive than scintilating sex, more dangerous then poweful drugs, more engaging than booming rock and roll.

What trumps sex, drugs, rock and roll.? Identity. Your identity. Without it you are a ghost, a floating figure of no dimension. Mcluhan asserted that without identity you become angry, terroristic in your actions. McLuhan's electronic world of telephones made you phoney, with televisions made people disembodied and cast around the world at the speed of light. The digital world creates intervals for personality and a spacing for the formerly disembodied to come down to earth. Presence in IM coupled with GPS in mobile IP is making electricity real. It is ID through IP.
